I was involved in improving the usability of the integrated NSK Varios scaler, based on a need identified by Fimet’s sales team. Working closely with a developer, I was responsible for defining the UX and UI updates for the device interface.
My role focused on designing how the new functionality should work in practice. I created the interaction logic, layout concepts, and all necessary symbols and bitmap assets for implementation. The goal was to simplify the user experience and reduce manual setup.
The solution introduced a searchable tip library, allowing users to quickly find different scaler tips and automatically load their correct settings. In addition, a preset feature was developed, enabling users to save up to four frequently used tips for quick access. This significantly improved efficiency and ease of use in daily clinical work.
